Hardened Containers images with Liberica Native Image Kit (NIK)⁠.

The repository supports Native Image Kit 25 (with Java 25), Native Image Kit 24 (with Java 24), Native Image Kit 23 (with Java 17 and 21), and for each libc type (glibc, musl) there are images:

• jdk-17-nik-23-[libc]
• jdk-21-nik-23-[libc]
• jdk-24-nik-24-[libc]
• jdk-25-nik-25-[libc]
• glibc - latest NIK with Glibc
• musl - latest NIK with Musl

For example, jdk-17-nik-23-musl is a Native Image Kit 23 with Java 17 image with Musl.

There also exist Native Image Kit 23, 24 and 25 debug images, which include NIK, Apache Maven and GNU GDB debugger:

• jdk-17-nik-23-debug-[libc]
• jdk-21-nik-23-debug-[libc]
• jdk-24-nik-24-debug-[libc]
• jdk-25-nik-25-debug-[libc]

⁠License

As with all Docker images, these also contain other software, which may be distributed under other licenses.

The list of installed software components and their licenses can be retrieved by executing the grep -E '^[PVL]:' /var/lib/apk/db/installed command.

As for any pre-built image usage, it is the image user's responsibility to ensure that any use of this image complies with any relevant licenses for all software contained within.
